Contour of arbitrary section is formed from polygons and/or circles. The roundings can be inscribed in a vertex angles of polygons. The program supports processing multiply connected (sections having cavities) and compound sections. 

The longitudinal armature can be given in the core of section. Thus geometrical characteristics of section will be carry to a material of a core.

The feature of the arbitrary sections processing mode is that the torsion stiffness factor is calculated by the direct solution of Poisson problem for the given contour. The program automatically makes a triangulation of a section area and solves a task of the theory of bar torsion by method of finite elements. The pictures of tangents stresses distribution in the section from the unit moment, and also stresses function may be shown.

As a result of calculation the following characteristics of section are formed:

A     - the area of section,

It    - the torsion stiffness factor,

Iyy   - the moment of inertia relative to principal Y-axis,

Izz   - the moment of inertia relative to principal Z-axis,

zmin - distance to the left outermost fiber along principal Z-axis,

zmax- distance to the right outermost fiber along principal Z-axis,

ymin - distance to the bottom outermost fiber along principal Y-axis,

ymax- distance to the top outermost fiber along principal Y-axis,

a    - a rotation angle of the principal section axes relative to the local axes.
